Etihad Aviation Group today welcomed the announcement of a new Board of Directors.
The new Board was established by a resolution of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
Mohamed Mubarak bin Fadhil Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Etihad Aviation Group, said: "The appointment of the new Board is an important milestone in the evolution to an aviation group, which has taken place over the last 18 months.
"This preeminent group of directors brings together in-depth knowledge and experience of both aviation and tourism, which will further strengthen the airline and the business moving forward, and ensure the right focus on the continuing development of the Group.
"I would like to thank the outgoing Board members for their contribution to the development of the Etihad Aviation Group, and to Abu Dhabi’s emergence as a global aviation hub.
"For us, this is business as usual and the continuation of a journey we began in 2003. We will build on the solid foundations laid by our predecessors."
