Kuwait Airways has announced that all scheduled flights to and from Kuwait International Airport will continue as scheduled and there will be no cancelations.
Earlier this morning Kuwait Airways tweeted that all operations for Tuesday will be halted due to bad weather saying “in the interest of the safety of its employees and in accordance with the instructions of Kuwait cabinet, morning work shifts are suspended on Tuesday 6/11/2018 and its considered an official holiday.”
Kuwait have witnessed heavy rains in the past two days, which lead to heavy flooding across various areas of Kuwait.
The government have announced Tuesday to be a holiday for all ministries, public and private schools and universities in response to the heavy rains and flooding.
Interior Ministry in a statement issued last night has said that they are holding rescue operations in the flooded areas, evacuating people and children from buildings, closing roads and directing traffic away from flooded highways, and underpasses.
