Environment Minister Taher Shakhshir explored on Monday means to enhance cooperation with his Lebanese counterpart Mohammad Mashnooq in the area of environment in preparation for the Arab Environment Ministers' conference which will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia next month.
During their meeting, the two ministers underlined that the environmental issues in all Arab countries are similar, whether related to air pollution, climate change , water, sewage or solid waste and methods of treatment.
Both parties agreed to exchange experiences in this field, particularly in spreading environmental awareness, in order to help citizens inculcate the principles of environment's preservation into a lasting personal behavior.
