Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab inspected the emergency spillway of the High Dam in Aswan.
He also saw the opening of one of the emergency irrigation gates to check on the possibility of opening the gates at any time when necessary.
The spillway, set up to release Nasser Lake water when its level is high, is located 2km west of the dam and has 30 holes that allows the passage of 200 million of water a day.
Mahlab, meanwhile, inspected a garden which was held on an area of 5 feddans at a cost of one million pounds. It aims at beautifying the area behind the High Dam.
