The Minister of Municipalities and Urban Planning Dr Juma Al Ka'abi today announced that the ministry would soon start the planting of flowers along roads and intersection in all governorates in the kingdom. The flowers would be planted starting October in cooperation and coordination with municipal councils aimed towards increasing green zones. Dr Al Ka'abi said that efforts being exerted came within the framework of the beautification of the country and increasing green zones. He also indicated that this process was being undertaken by using the latest agricultural techniques that are based on modern scientific advancement in this field. The Minister also affirmed that the ministry was keen on proving all the necessary constituents of sustainable comprehensive agricultural development. Dr Al Ka'abi emphasized that all programmes and projects serving municipal and urban planning requirements were within the framework of the Economic Vision 2030.
