President of the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) Prince Turki bin Nasser, and Jazan Mayor Abdullah Mohammed Al-Qarni will sign in Jeddah on Jan. 15 an agreement to implement a national program of environmental awareness and sustainable development in Jazan province. Al-Qarni said representatives from the Jazan Governorate would participate in a Jeddah forum discussing environmental infrastructure and its impact on the environment in the Gulf Cooperation Council states, to be held the same day as the agreement signing. The forum is being held under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and with the participation of Saudi and other GCC mayors.
