The Nile water level rose two centimeters on Monday, recording 176.08 meters. A report by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation said that water released behind the Aswan Dam amounted to 85 million cubic meters and water coming freshly to Lake Nasser reached as well 85 million cubic meters. Nile water level has previously been recording amounts ranging between 42 billion cubic meters to 151 billion cubic meters. This wide difference in the Nile water level give a serious indication of the decrease in the annual water revenues of the Nile. It also sounds an alarm on how far it is greatly serious to depend on the annual revenue of the Nile water and threats vast areas of farmland.
