Head of the Sudanese side at the Egyptian-SudaneNile Water Technical Authority terD.r Seif Hamad Abdallah said Sunday the authority is a safety valve and a locomotive for water cooperation between the two sisterly nations, pointing out to a real wish to make the authority a symbol of integration between Egypt and Sudan.
Addressing the opening session of the authority's meetings here, he said the authority has led operations and special missions for the Nile Basin and has been the main arm in all activities between the two countries.
The authority ensures that no clash of interests of any of the two nations occurs, he said, adding that all activities aim at unifying efforts to reach maximum benefit of the Nile water.
Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Dr Hossam Moghazi inaugurated earlier today the authority meetings.
