Minister of Oil Ali Al-Omair on Wednesday praised Kuwait Oil Company for winning the 2014 top award of the council of Arab ministers responsible for environmental affairs for its special program designed to minimize gases' emission.
In a statement to KUNA, Minister Al-Omair said the KOC project, themed "abidance by air quality and cutting gas burning," won the award as a result of the cooperation between the KOC and the Environment Public Authority (EPA).
This distinguished accomplishment came a cap the diligent work by the national cadres in the two sides, and as an acknowledgement of Kuwait's devotion of particular concern to man's health and safe environment.
The KOC will be honored in the award-delivery ceremony due in Jeddah next week, and that comes against backdrop of the UN acclamation of His Highness the Amir as "humanitarian leader." Cooperation between the KOC and EPA has been fruitful in terms of limiting gasuous emissions.
