The Environment and Climate Affairs Ministry issued two decisions. The first decision halts the first production line of Oman Cement Company in Al Rusayl for one month renewable in case of violation recurrence. The decision is attributed to the company's violation of the Environment Protection and Combating Pollution Law and failure to comply with emission standards despite the repeated warnings. The second decision halts the operations of Al Shafaq Construction Company for one month renewable in case of violation recurrence. The decision is attributed to the company's violation of the Environment Protection and Combating Pollution Law. The Ministry seeks to intensify the inspection and environmental control on the operations and expand the environmental surveying in a bid to maintain the Omani environment clean and free from different sources of pollution.
