Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy said Monday that his Ministry was quick to act to counter the spread of jellyfish along Mediterranean coasts.
Practical and scientific steps were taken to handle the problem, Fahmy said in a forum organized by the Environment Ministry.
He touched upon cooperation with other Mediterranean countries to identify reasons behind the phenomenon.
Meanwhile, a killer whale has been detected in the Red Sea, Fahmy said, noting that it was seen in the same time last year.
