The NCMS has warned of unstable weather conditions in the country, with chances of rain and hailstorms across the country. The weather bureau has forecast rain, lightning and hailstorm for three days from today. The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has warned of unstable weather conditions in the country, with chances of rain and hailstorms across the country. In a statement, weather officials at the centre noted an increased chance of rainfall from Tuesday evening. "The wind speed will be moderate to fresh, becoming strong at times, blowing dust and sand to reduce the horizontal visibility over some areas. Sea will be rough to very rough over the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman, especially with the presence of clouds.” Thunder and hail activities are expected to hit the country tomorrow with an increasing cloud cover over most areas. Convective clouds, which are usually associated with different intensities of precipitation, are expected to cover UAE skies. Reduced visibility over interiors and open areas will be followed by a significant fall in temperature. "Chances of rain will continue on Thursday, especially over the northern and eastern regions. The amount of clouds will ease gradually from Thursday night and Friday morning, with probability of some rain over northern and eastern regions.” The weather bureau has advised people to stay away from wadis and also to take extra caution in case of thunder activities, hailstorms and strong winds. It has also urged people not to venture into the Arabian Gulf or the Oman Sea, as it will be rough during the period. Source: Khaleej Times
