The Scientific Center will launch special programs tomorrow, Thursday, in celebration of the World Environment Day; coinciding June 5.
The Center is organizing programs that aim to raise environmental awareness in an interactive and recreational atmosphere, director of public relations and marketing at the Center Nawaf Al-Rusdeini said in a press release on Wednesday.
The programs; divided into morning and evening sessions, will include lectures on KNPC's eco-friendly fuel, as well as the official environmental gate, set up by the Environment Public Authority, he added. Both sessions will be held at the IMAX Theater, along with workshops and other awareness-related activities.
The World Environment Day is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the environment. Over the years it has grown to be a broad, global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated by stakeholders in over 100 countries. This year's slogan is 'Raise your voice, not the sea level'
