H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, this evening attended the inauguration of water canal project, one of the vital tourist projects in Dibba Al Hisn city.
The event was attended by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and other senior officials.
The Ruler of Sharjah watched the rowing boats race along the Corniche Dibba Al Hisn in which more than 6 boats took part. There was a swimming competition to pass the canal in which more than 20 swimmers from clubs and teams in the Emirate of Sharjah took part.
The 960 metre-long and with width of 30 metres and depth of six -metre canal, is located along the new Corniche road in Dibba Al Hisn. The project features beautiful agricultural landscaping, including palm trees, seasonal flowers and greenery for hiking and sports, as well as other amenities.
