The Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Environment and Water have signed an MoU within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the two parties and facilitating the work of concerned authorities at federal and local levels. The MoU was signed by Humaid Ali bin Butti Al Muhairi, Assistant Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy for Commercial Affairs and Abdul Rahim Al Hammadi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Support Services in the Ministry of Environment and Water, in the presence of Mohammed Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy. The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in common interests between the two parties in all fields and unify the naming of economic activities, according to international standardisation, and create a channel of communication between the two parties to contribute to supporting and facilitating joint action and exchanges of experiences and knowledge within the framework of their work. Al Muhairi stressed that this initiative reflects the keenness of the Ministry of Economy and its partners to support the vision and strategy of the U.A.E. to build a green economy, in addition to enhancing cooperation between institutions of the federal government to achieving national goals. For his part, Al Hammadi commended the role of the Ministry of Economy in supporting business and enhancing the business investment environment across the U.A.E. to represent an attractive commercial centre within the best international classifications in the field of business competitiveness.
