A total of 20 people have been killed, 11 injured, and 1 missing in the widespread flooding that hit 20 provinces, mostly in the North and Northeast, starting July 25, the Interior Ministry''s Disaters Prevention and Mitigation Department said on Sunday. The 20 provinces are Phrae, Chiang Mai, Sukhothai, Nan, Lamphun, Lapang, Mae Hon Son, Uttaradit, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Tak, Nakhon Sawan, Nakhon Sawan, Nakhon Phanom, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bung Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Loei, Phetcha, bun, and Prachuap Khiri Khan. Twenty people have been killed: 1 in Udon Thani, 2 in Chiang Mai, 6 in Phrae, 7 in Mae Hong Son, 2 in Sukhothai, and 2 in Nakhon Phanom. Eleven people were reported injured and one went missing, the department said. Flooding has eased in Nan, Loie, Nong Khai, and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces. Much of the other 16 provinces is still inundated.
