Implemented over 23 months with a budget of 1.225 million euros, an EU Twinning project offers technical support for Egypt’s electricity sector, a delegation of the EU Commission said Tuesday.
The project contributes to institutional reform and the modernization of the Egyptian public administration, the delegation said in a statement.
It comes as part of efforts to develop the Egyptian electricity sector under the auspices of the Ministry of Electricity and the Support of the Association Agreement Program (SAAP) of the Ministry of International Cooperation, with funding from the EU.
The EU Twinning project was implemented in partnership with the Regulatory Authority for Energy of Greece (RAE), and the Italian Regulatory Authority for Electricity, Gas, and Water (AEEGSI).
