Weather forecasters said Saturday more snow could be on the way in Scotland and northern England as winter begins to settle in across the United Kingdom. Snow was reported in Lincolnshire and north into Scotland while much of the nation experienced cold rain and sleet. "We can't rule out more wintry showers," MeteoGroup forecaster Victoria Kettley told The Daily Telegraph. "These might fall as snow very locally on high ground like the North York Moors, but will generally be sleet, rain or hail. The overall wet weather brought out the salt trucks to help ease the danger on rural roads. A jackknifed truck in County Durham Saturday caused a 6-mile traffic backup. Officials cautioned the time change in Britain this weekend would mean darker roads and trickier driving late in the day.
