The General Presidency of Meteorology and Protection of Environment today warned from an expected zero-level cold wave accompanied by light snow drops over northern parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia starting Wednesday, while the western parts of the country, including Tabuk and Northern Border Regions, would witness surface winds that might block horizontal vision. Weather forecast authorities also said that, as of Thursday, Hail, Qassim, Eastern and Riyadh regions will also be affected by the cold wave which will extend to cover Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah and Makkah regions. The southern parts, including Najran, Jazan heights, Asir and Al-Baha regions will be subject to the weather change on Friday, the report added.
The authorities advised the public to take care and caution.
