Chevrolet’s 2014 Silverado light duty pickup has won the ‘Best 4x4 of the Year’ title from leading regional automotive magazine, 'Car and Driver Middle East.' The pickup features a trio of all-new EcoTec3 engines– a V6 and two V8s, which provide the proven power, capabilities, refinement and efficiency, said a statement. The vehicle also offers segment-exclusive safety features such as forward collision alert, lane departure warning with an active safety seat, and front and rear park assist. “We are deeply honoured to have received such recognition by Car and Driver Middle East, a highly-acclaimed auto publication here in the region,” said Ahmed Soudodi, regional Chevrolet brand manager of General Motors Middle East. “The Chevrolet Silverado has been one of the most popular full size pickups in the Middle East.I am confident that the new 2014 Silverado will further cement its reputation as a market leader thanks to itsmuscular design, segment-leading capabilities, and advanced features.” The EcoTec3 engines feature direct fuel injection, active fuel management and continuously variable valve timing.
