Next Bike Sdn Bhd, the sole importer and distributor of Ducati motorbikes in Malaysia, expects to record another 100 percent growth in sales next year. "Since we brought the brand to Malaysia in 2000, we have put about 1,000 bikes into the market. Every month, the momentum has been growing," Naza Joint Group Executive Chairman Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin said Monday. "This year alone, the company has grown its sales volume by 100 percent," he said after launching the "Ducati Sneak Peek Box" of the new Monster model at the Lot 10 shopping mall here. "I believe the new introduction of the Monster and its attractive price will further contribute to the growth of Ducati in Malaysia," he added. Next Bike is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Naza group of companies. The sneak peek box is placed outside Lot 10 for the public to get the glimpse of the stunning new model from now until its global official unveiling on Oct 20. SM Faisal also said that with the strategy to come out with Asian products, as Ducati has set up its base in Thailand, "I think Ducati can be a competitive player in the Malaysian motorcycle scene".
