Nissan has launched its 2015 model Sunny in the Middle East and the new sedan will be available from all Nissan dealerships across the region from August 1.
The 2015 Sunny has a strong global heritage owing to its interior roominess, safety, quality, comfort and fuel efficiency. Nissan has now given its acclaimed sedan a step up in terms of distinctive styling, connectivity (Nissan Connect), said a statement.
The original Sunny was launched in the Middle East under Datsun brand in 1966 and is part of the Nissan and the Regional Automotive Heritage across its 10 generations. Sunny is one of the top selling models in the region. The 2015 Sunny builds on this solid foundation and strengthens Nissan’s presence in the increasingly popular B-Sedan segment.
Samir Cherfan, managing director at Nissan Middle East, said: “The Middle East is a key market for Nissan and the Nissan Sunny in particular is one of our top selling models in the region and contributes to around 15pc of our total sales. We expect this model to make a notable impact on our growth, doubling its sales volumes by FY16.
"While delivering on its recognised class-leading strengths, the latest model boasts enhanced technology with a new styling taking its cues from Nissan latest design direction”.
The 2015 Sunny comes with a bold, refreshed front, rear and interior design including a bigger front grille and boomerang shaped headlamps, while chrome detailing around the car gives the sedan a classy appearance. It also features upgraded interiors complete with a redesigned center console in piano black finishing, display audio system, and a new premium steering wheel with added functionality.
Sunny comes with a 1.5L petrol engine and includes four spec variants with prices starting at $ 12,380, the statement said.
