Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will recall 23 of its imported heavy trucks on the Chinese mainland due to defects in the hydraulic oil cylinders, China's quality watchdog said on Wednesday.
The recall, starting from July 15, will involve imported FM, FH trucks manufactured between Sept.1 2014 and Jan. 20, 2015, the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement posted on its website.
The affected tractors may have defects in the hydraulic oil cylinders and, if not repaired, the bolts of the cylinders could eventually fail, causing safety problems, according to the statement.
Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd., will replace the faulty components free of charge to remove the potential hazard, said the statement.
