Ram’s powerful new truck, packed with luxurious extras, has hit the Chicago Auto Show.Chicago was once the place to debut special trucks. In fact for years it was known as 'the truck show' with the leading automakers showcasing their SUV and pick-ups in the Windy City.Ram has decided to stay true to that tradition, bringing its new 2012 Laramie Limited to the event. Available in 1500, 2500 HD and 3500 HD configurations, power comes from a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that provides up to 19,100 pounds of towing capacity.1500 models wear 20-inch chrome clad alloys, while the HD variants are fitted with 17-inch polished alloys. Chrome accents feature throughout the exterior while traditional bodyside emblems have been deleted.Premium materials have been used to dress up the interior. Natura Plus leather bucket seats are heated and ventilated, while the steering wheel has been leather-wrapped with accent stitching.Deep Berber carpets, unique gauges bearing the tagline 'Designed in Detroit', LED ambient lighting and the uConncect touch-screen navigation/infotainment system comes as standard. Dealerships will take stock of the Ram Laramie Limited by late spring and will probably be priced close to the Laramie Longhorn which comes in at $45,000.Photos courtesy of Drew Phillips / Autoblog.
