Although it's lightly disguised, this test mule of the upcoming Beetle Convertible is almost ready to hit showrooms. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Volkswagen planned on offering a convertible variant of their newly redesigned Beetle from the get-go. While the new Beetle Coupe has been making its way into VW showrooms across the US and Europe, many fans have been holding out for the convertible.Fortunately, they won't have to wait much longer as the 2013 Beetle Convertible will be making its debut soon. As these latest spy photos from Sweden clearly suggest, it's in its final stages of development. If you look closely enough, you'll see that VW attempted to disguise the test mule with the front and rear bumpers of the previous generation. We expect for the Beetle convertible to makes its official debut sometime later this summer or early fall.
