Good news if you're in the market for a new luxury vehicle - the price of Aston Martins in New Zealand has been cut. One of the most popular models, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, will be available at less than $200,000, says Independent Prestige, New Zealand's agent for the luxury marque. Price reductions on the 15-model range reflect recent movement in the foreign exchange rate. They follow a strong sales performance last year, when Aston Martin's new car registrations were up 20 per cent from 2010 in a flat market. "The price alignment is great news and a real milestone for Aston Martin in New Zealand," said Independent Prestige general manager Greg Brinck. "The fact that we're now able to offer a new Aston Martin at under $200,000 is something special in the New Zealand market. "We took a similar approach when the new four-door Aston Martin Rapide was launched here at the end of 2010. "The foreign exchange rate at the time allowed us to offer the car at an initial price point in the market that was very competitive." And Brinck added another reason to buy the brand: "It is now more affordable than ever to drive the car that James Bond drives."
