This is the revised XC90 SUV, which benefits from fresh styling and a raft of new technology. Silver roof rails, a redesigned bumper bar in silver and sharper, colour-coded lower door mouldings set it apart on the outside. The lights have been modified front and rear, too. Sporty R-Design models are treated to new trim, door panels and 19-inch alloys. Inside, a new Bluetooth set-up allows wireless music streaming from a mobile phone. A smartphone app also enables owners to communicate with their XC90 remotely, receiving data such as fuel level, economy and service alerts, and track the car’s location. The refresh follows a minor styling tweak earlier this year, which was accompanied by a 15bhp power hike for the 2.4-litre diesel. Customers placing orders from next month will get the upgrades, with minimal price rises expected.
