ŠKODA introduces the new ‘StylePLUS’ version of the Rapid. Series standard black design elements on the body and rear spoiler, two-tone 17-inch alloys and a sporty interior with new decorative trim give the special edition model more dynamics. There are total of five body colours and six engines available for the new ŠKODA Rapid StylePLUS. “We are expanding our range of well-equipped ŠKODA Rapid models with this special edition model of the ŠKODA Rapid StylePLUS for the best value for money,” says Werner Eichhorn, ŠKODA Board Member for Sales and Marketing. The new special edition model ŠKODA Rapid StylePLUS is based on the ‘Ambition’ range, complemented by numerous design, comfort and functional elements. The special edition version differs in terms of its design elements in black gloss finish, including the rear spoiler on the boot lid, the covers on the exterior rear-view mirrors and the bars on the front bumper and side doors. These elements harmonize with the range of available body colours: The Rapid StylePLUS can be ordered in Candy-White, Sprint-Yellow, Corrida-Red, Rally-Green and Denim-Blue. The model sports two-tone 17-inch ‘Ray’ alloys - in black and silver. The Rapid StylePLUS can be equipped with new xenon headlights and front fog lights with the so-called ‘cornering light’ function. The interior of the Rapid StylePLUS in Satin-Black includes, among other things, sporty seat fittings with distinctively-shaped seats, pedal covers made of stainless steel and non-slip rubber surfaces. The steering wheel, finished in leather, forms just a part of the Leather Package, which also includes a leather-covered gear stick and handbrake. The steering wheel features also a piano lacquer finish to match the new dashboard inserts in Piano-Black. The sound system features a radio/CD player, which can also be fitted with the sat nav ‘Amundsen+’ including DAB-Function upon request. There are six engines to choose from for the Rapid StylePLUS - 1.2 MPI 55 kW, two 1.2 TSIs with 63 kW or 77 kW (with six speed transmission) and 1.4 TSI 90 kW (available with automatic DSG) and two diesels, the 1.6 TDI with 66 kW and 1.6 TDI with 77 kW. The ŠKODA Rapid joined the ŠKODA model range in autumn 2012 and is positioned between the ŠKODA Fabia and the ŠKODA Octavia. With compact dimensions (4.48 meters long, 1.7 meters wide), this compact saloon offers excellent space with ample room for five occupants and their luggage. There are also numerous Simply Clever solutions, a timeless design, excellent value for money and extensive safety features. With its outstanding spaciousness, the ŠKODA Rapid is a Simply Clever car through and through. Particularly ingenious examples of these simple and effective solutions are the ice scraper in the tank cap and the optionally available double-sided floor covering for the trunk. There is also a handy holder for the safety vest located under the driver's seat. A waste container in the side door makes sure the interior is kept tidy. There are other clever features available on board as optional extras, such as a multimedia holder, ticket holder, various cup holders, nets on the inner sides of the front seats and an optional boot compartment net program.
