News Agencies World Congress (NAWC) preparation meeting was held in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh with the participation of Anadolu Agency's Board Chairman and Director General Kemal Ozturk and Deputy Director General Ebubekir Sahin. The steps needed to be taken for the 4th congress to be held in November 2013 was discussed and Anadolu Agency (AA) to make a presentation at the 4th congress was decided in the meeting. Representatives from world's leading news agencies including Australian National News Agency (AAP), Spanish National News Agency (EFE), Saudi Arabian National News Agency (SPA), ITAR-TASS from Russia, Argentina's National News Agency (TELAM), Austrian National News Agency (APA), British National News Agency (PA) attended the meeting as well as Anadolu Agency. Ozturk gathered with representatives from various agencies during the meeting and discussed cooperation opportunities. Ozturk also visited Turkey's Ambassador in Riyadh, Ahmet Muhtar Gun, and provided information on the latest work carried out by Anadolu Agency. Gun stated that he was very pleased about Anadolu Agency broadcasting in Arabic, Russian, Bosnian and English as well as Turkish. He also stated he was proud of AA's influence on the Arabic world and said, "AA has to increase its influence in Saudi Arabia as well." Ozturk also presented Anadolu Agency's 2012 Almanac to Gun in English, Arabic and Turkish following the dinner given for the honor of Kemal Ozturk and the accompanying delegation from AA.
