The Arab State Broadcasting Union (ASBU) President Mohammad Abdulmohsen Al-Awash announced Saturday that the ASBU will organize in Tunisia next month a workshop on the role of the media in countering terrorism and extremist ideologies.
"The workshop will be organized in collaboration with the Tunis-based Arab Interior Ministers Council," Al-Awash, also undersecretary of the Media Planning and Knowledge Development at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information, told KUNA.
He reiterated condemnation of the recent deadly terrorist attack on a museum in the Tunisian capital, which left scores dead.
Al-Awash also spoke highly about the significant role of the Tunisian media institutions in the fight against extremism and terrorism.
He congratulated the Tunisian government and people on the 59th anniversary of the national day.
