The eGovernment Authority (eGA)takes part as a strategic partner in the third edition of the Social Media Pioneers Forum (SMMF2015), under the patronage of the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, on January 28-29.
The International Social Media Club (Bahrain-chapter) will organise the Forum themed "Social Media and youth" is expected to attract about 1000 college students.
SMMF2015 will feature a number of activities involving specialists from inside and outside Bahrain, who will enrich the event with their experience and skills.
It will host local, regional and international speakers as well as presenting working papers about theories of social media and specialised workshops.
Vice CEO of eGA Dr. Zakareya Ahmed Al-Khaja affirmed that the strategic partnership with SMMF2015 serves eGA's strategic goals for 2017 of involving all partners to promote technologies and build capacities, pointing out that social media has become today one of the most important communication channels between the government and the recipient of services, which reflects the government's keenness on increasing communication with the public.
he International Social Media Club(Bahrain-chapter) President Ali Sabkar expressed his pride in the partnership with eGA which has resulted in ambitious recommendations during the previous editions.
He stressed that the Forum's continuous momentum assures the importance of the issues it addresses and the public and official interest in it, pointing out that the forum went out to the global scope.
