The Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla today received the Minister of Information Affairs Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamadi and discussed cooperation to keep abreast of unfolding developments and highlight Bahrain’s reform strides.
The speaker hailed Bahrainis prolific media competences, stressing cooperation with the ministry and other relevant authorities to meet information needs and requirements.
He voiced his support for the responsible freedom of expression of opinion, hailing the crucial role of the national press and columnists in raising key issues and shaping public opinion.
The minister also affirmed cooperation with the Council of Representatives towards achieving the goals of the landmark reform project which was launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa
He announced that the media coverage of the legislative branch of government’s activities would be stepped up to promote its achievements in Bahrain and abroad.
