Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange, EGX, Dr. Mohammed Omran will hold a press conference Sunday on the stock market's activity during the past four years of his chairmanship.
In statements to MENA, Omran said that the press conference, which will be held at EGX's headquarters at the Smart Village, will also witness the handover procedures and the transfer of authority to the newly-elected EGX board.
The first stage of the board elections took place on June 23.
The board of the EGX is comprised of a chairman and his deputy who are both named by the prime minister. The board also includes five members who are elected in addition to two economic experts and two representatives of the Central Bank of Egypt, CBE, and the Federation of Egyptian Banks.
The CBE nominated Deputy Governor for Reserves and Monetary Markets Ramy Abul Naga to the board.
