An Egyptian press delegation, which is scheduled to accompany President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in his planned visit to Germany, refuted on Monday remarks by German Ambassador in Cairo Hansjörg Habar in which he criticized recent court rulings in terrorism cases.
During a meeting held in the headquarters of the German embassy in Cairo, Habar said that the recent court rulings, especially the death sentences, issued in terrorism cases would defame Egypt's image abroad.
He also slammed rulings against Aljazeera journalists.
"These remarks represent interference in Egypt's internal affairs," the Egyptian journalists said during the meeting.
The Egyptian judiciary is independent and integral, they added.
They stressed that the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group is the umbrella and source of all terrorist groups which carry out all violent acts.
