Information Affairs Authority (IAA) President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa inaugurated today the Official Gazette's webpage on IAA website (iaa.bh), in a new initiative that will serve government bodies, courts, the public sector, the civil society, researchers and specialists in legislation and laws in Bahrain. He described the step as an added value to Bahrain's distinguished e-government record thanks to the availability of the subscription service and easy access to the latest royal decrees, legislations, decisions, administrative regulations and declarations. He said coordination with the eGovernment Authority is going on to draw up a new and easy mechanism to subscribe to the original version of the Official Gazette which will be provided with cutting-edge technologies. He also pointed out continuous publication of the Official Gazette by IAA Press and Publications Directorate since issuance of its first edition in 1948, pointing out the authority's keenness to upgrade it so as to cope with the latest Information and Telecommunications (IT) technologies. He reiterated commitment to the wise leadership's directives to carry out more developmental projects to upgrade the media sector, better radio and TV programmes, boost transparency and facilitate access to media information and services.
