Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah met with board of directors and officials of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Monday evening.
The meeting reviewed a number of subjects relating to the performance of the official media and KUNA's efforts to keep abreast with the latest developments in the information and communication technology, the Ministry of Information said in a statement.
The meeting also discussed ways to overcome obstacles that hinder KUNA's work efficiency and keep it the main source of credible and accurate news in the country.
KUNA delegation at the meeting included Board Chairman and Director-General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah, Deputy Chairman Adnan Al-Rashed, and board members Mohammad Al-Awash, Ambassador Saleh Al-Loughani and Kholoud Al-Feeli.
The meeting also gathered KUNA Deputy Director General for Financial, Administrative and Communications Affairs Abdulhamid Malek, and Deputy Director General for Editorial Sector Affairs and Editor-in-Chief Saad Al-Ali.
