Kuwaiti Minister of Information Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah on Thursday welcomed a planned visit by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Kuwait, slated for next week.
In press statements, Al-Sabah, who is also minister of state for youth affairs, asserted that all Kuwaitis are proud of and happy for Sisi's visit.
He hoped that the visit would help bolster the Kuwait-Egyptian ties, pointing out that the two countries enjoy profound and long-standing relations throughout history.
President Sisi is due to visit Kuwait on January 5 at an invitation from Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
