Acting Prosecutor General Ali Omran
Cairo - MENA

Acting Prosecutor General Ali Omran ordered on Monday a media gag on investigations into the case in which a chief judge is accused of seeking bribe.

The order will apply to audio, video, and print media, as well as internet sites. It will remain in force until the end of investigations.

The Public Prosecution will issue statements about the case.

Earlier reports have said that the head of a misdemeanor court in Nasr City sought "sexual bribe" in return for biased rulings in cases he was presiding over.
