The Arab Union of Cuba (UAC) organized a media symposium in solidarity with Syria at the headquarters of the union in the Cuban capital of Havana.
In a speech delivered at the symposium, UAC Chairman Alfredo Darwish said that Syria has always been the center of attention due to its principled stances towards Arab issues.
Darwish hailed the steadfastness of the Syrian people over the years of the crisis and the sacrifices of the Syrian Army which heroically stands in the face of the gangs of killing and criminality.
For his part, Syria’s Ambassador to Cuba Dr. Idris Maia presented a briefing on the latest developments of the situations in Syria, affirming determination of the Syrian leadership, army and people to eradicate terrorism from every inch of the Syrian territories.
Maia referred to the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in different areas against the terrorist organizations.
He indicated that the government supports all initiatives that would put an end to the bloodshed in Syria, adding that the government is determined to liberate every inch of the Syrian territories from terrorism.
