The Information Affairs Ministry announced the launch of the second phase of the professional media programme organised in partnership with Tamkeen and with the participation of 100 students and graduates from national universities specialising in media and telecommunication. The training programme aims to equip them with the needed technical and professional skills and to groom them for the labour market.
The training programme is part of the ministry’s keenness to upgrade the media sector in Bahrain in line with the directives of Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi to groom young national competencies and prepare them for the labour market by availing of technical experiences at Bahrain TV.
The trainees have been divided into two groups. The first group comprises 60 trainees and are being groomed in cooperation with the Jordan Media Institute (JMI) while the second group comprises 40 trainees distributed on the ministry’s TV and production directorates to equip them with the needed knowledge and technical skills in production, photography, editing, sound engineering, graphic design, and television presentation.
