Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Saturday with French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference.
The meeting took up means of enhancing joint relations in the political, security and economic fields, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ambassador Badr Abdel Aati.
The two sides probed also cooperation between the two countries in combating terrorism which is an international phenomenon.
Shoukry underlined the importance of banning the transmission of the satellite channels affiliated to the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB).
Those channels are inciting violence and terrorism, the Egyptian top diplomat underscored.
The two ministers probed a number of regional files atop of which were conditions in Libya and the Egyptian efforts exerted to achieve stability in the Arab country.
The get-together tackled the Syrian file, the results of the Syrian opposition meeting held in Cairo as well as the need to maintain the unity of the territories of the Arab country.
