President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has said Egypt is going ahead with road map implementation, adding that there are no restrictions on freedom of expression.
In statements to Sky News Arabia, Sisi said there are no political prisoners in Egypt.
"The right to demonstrate is preserved but we want at the same time to achieve stability and security for the Egyptian people," Sisi said.
He asked, "Did anyone apply to demonstrate over the past few months and his request was denied?"
The president said the religious discourse needed to be amended, adding that this would not harm the basics of Islam.
On Libya, the president said a political solution was needed to guarantee the security and safety of the Arab country.
He denied Egyptian military interference in Libya, noting that Egypt needed only to protect its borders and national security.
"We are keen not to have any disputes with any Arab nation," he summed up.
