Sudanese Information Minister Ahmed Bilal Othman has warned of a hazardous threat posed by Daesh group to the region.
The group is moving beyond borders, Othman said, warning that the terrorist group can very well reach Sudan.
In statements to Akhbar al Yom newspaper, out in Khartoum Wednesday, Othman denied news that his country was implicated in financing terrorist groups in Sinai.
What is happening in Libya can very well spread to Egypt and Sudan and later to Chad and Algeria, Othman said, expecting military and political intervention to suppress the Daesh organization in the coming stage.
Othman also condemned the beheading of Egyptian Christians at the hands of Daesh in Libya, calling it an "irreligious and immoral" behavior.
He said Sudan and Egypt share a long borderline through which immigrants and arms dealers can reach Sinai.
