Head of the Syrian Journalists' Union, Elias Murad, said that the mission of journalists is to convey reality without being biased and work under the light not like those reporters who entered Syria illegally and published misleading reports on the events. During his meeting with a Czech media delegation on Wednesday, Murad stressed that the Syrian people are stronger than the plot hatched against the country by the west, adding that the Syrians will defend their homeland against terrorism and its misleading media tools. He noted that the Union has issued a statement underlining the importance of implementing the political solution program and calling for the national opposition forces to participate in the dialogue. Murad added that some mainstream media even issued orders to the armed terrorist groups, as was the case in some terrorist bombings. For their part, members of the delegation said that that accusing Syria of restricting the freedom of press is one of the lies against the country, adding that they will convey the reality of the events to their country.
