Here is a short synopsis of the most popular Kuwaiti dramas: 'Bu Kareem Birgubta Sabe' Hareem' (Bu Kareem Takes Care of Seven Women) is a melodramatic drama. Bu Kareem is an impoverished father of seven daughters, whose wife abandon s him for a rich man. He raises them himself. Each of his daughters, named after precious stones, have varied experiences. They face tough situations and one of the girls is raped and learns that she is pregnant, which the father is unaware of. After 21 years, the father meets his ex-wife who now leads a lavish lifestyle. She challenges him and asserts that she can win over her daughters' love even after 21 years. 'Alimni Kef Ansak' (Teach Me How to Forget You) is a drama about Ali, a pilot who is married to two women. He is father to two twins from his first wife Sara. While rushing to the hospital to meet his new-born daughters, his second-wife-to-be sabotages his journey. He forgets his bag in her car on the way to the hospital. He falls in love with her and marries her. 'Bannat Al Thanawiya' (High School Female Students), the soap opera that has been banned by the Ministry of Information. It has benefited a lot from negative publicity and viewership. It's a social treatise that depicts the lives of five female students studying in the same high school. 'Fursa Thanya' (Second Chance), is a social drama sends out the social message that money transforms people's lives. A rich businessman falls into a coma after suffering from an ailment. However, he is able to hear and understand conversations. Through every day monologues and conversations between his relatives, he learns that his wife is only interested in his money whereas his sister, brother and daughters care about him deeply and look after him. One day, he wakes up from the coma and the drama goes on to narrate the events that unfold next. 'Al Malika' (The Queen) tells the tale of a female singer and her family. The protagonist Huda works with her brothers in a music production company. The television series brings her social life and the obstacles she faces to life.
