His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received today Editor-in-Chief of Kuwaiti Al-Siyasa (The Politics) newspaper Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al-Jarallah and Board Chairman of Al-Khaleej (The Gulf) newspaper Ahmed Ismail Bahbahani
HRH the Premier praised the Kuwaiti press describing it as a bright model of development of journalism in the GCC countries. He lauded the role of Al-Siyasa and Al-Khaleej newspapers in shedding light on political, economic and democratic development in Bahrain, commending the high-profile media status of Ahmed Al-Jarallah at the regional and Arab level. He also praised Ahmed Bahbahani as a key figure in the press and media field, underlining success of Al-Siyasa and Al-Khaleej newspapers.
HRH the Prime Minister lauded solid ties binding Bahrain and Kuwait, describing them as a model of advanced relations between countries. He also discussed with Al-Jarallah and Bahbahani regional and international developments, affirming the importance of democracy as a pillar for development and prosperity. He warned of misusing openness to threaten national security, stability and progress.
Mr. Al-Jarallah and Mr. Bahbahani hailed the recent successful visit of HRH the Premier to Kuwait, stressing its positive outcome at the bilateral and GCC level.
