Qatari newspapers confirmed that HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's tour to the African continent, which included Ethiopia, Kenya and South Africa, was successful by all standards and constitutes a quantum leap in the Qatari-African relations and open up broader prospects of cooperation for common interests. 
In their editorials Thursday, the newspapers pointed out that the State of Qatar's orientation and openness towards the African continent stems from the principle of constructive cooperation to serve the common interests and represents an extension of the Qatari influential role in Africa. 
Al-Sharq daily said that HH the Emir's tour in the African continent was successful by all standards and was an embodiment of the will and keenness of HH and African leaders to develop partnership between the State of Qatar and Africa, reflecting the depth of historical ties and aspirations to build a strategic partnership. 
The Qatari paper added that the strategic issues discussed during HH the African tour reflected the congruence in the visions towards the developments of regional and international political events, especially regarding the Middle East, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the Libyan crisis and the situation in sisterly Syria. 
The newspaper noted that the tour proved the urgent need to revive the Arab peace initiative and the importance of reaching a just and two-state solution in accordance with the UN resolutions and the international legitimacy as well as the agreements signed between the Palestinian and Israeli sides. 
On the Libyan issue, the leaders stressed the need to preserve the unity, integrity and sovereignty of Libya and the importance of the role played by the African Union in continuing joint efforts with the international community in promoting security, peace and stability in the region and the world. 
In conclusion, Al-Sharq said that the Qatari diplomacy is aware of the African dimension and its importance in injecting new support for Arab and Islamic issues and reflects the awareness of the Qatari leadership on the importance of establishing relations with Africa due to its strategic and geopolitical location and its active membership in a number of important economic groups. 
Qatari daily newspaper Arrayah underlined the important outcomes of HH's tour in three African countries at all political, economic, investment, cultural and social levels that affirm Qatar's approach to openness to the world. 
The newspaper said that the official and popular welcome of this tour reflects the remarkable position and appreciation of the State of Qatar and its wise leadership in the African countries and peoples adding that Doha is keen to strengthen its relations with each of Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Pretoria and other African capitals in various fields which serve the common interests of peace, development and stability. 
Arrayah stressed that talks between HH the Emir and the leaders of the three countries on the Arab, African and international developments in addition to the cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding that were signed, reflect the common desire to promote cooperation between the state of Qatar and the African continent and strengthen bilateral partnerships in various areas of common concern. 
The newspaper pointed out that the State of Qatar's orientation and its openness towards the African continent based on the principle of constructive cooperation to serve the common interests, away from any motives and agendas. 
The Qatari daily highlighted the state of Qatar's political and influential role in Africa as in Darfur and between Djibouti and Eritrea, where there are Qatari peacekeepers on the borders of the two countries in addition to the state of Qatar's political attitudes and initiatives in supporting the continent's issues in regional and international forums. 
Arrayah expressed hope that the next phase would witness remarkable results of this tour, which affirms the standing of the State of Qatar along with the African countries in the issues of development, stability, security and peace as well as developing their own resources for the interest of their peoples. 
In conclusion, the Qatari daily said that HH the Emir's tour achieved its goals by all standards, strengthened the state of Qatar's relations with African countries, and established strong and developed Qatari-African relations serve as an example for relations between countries. 
For its part, Al-Watan Qatari newspaper underlined in its editorial Thursday Hh the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's successful tour in the three African friendly countries which included Ethiopia, Kenya and South Africa. 
The newspaper pointed out that the remarkable tour of HH the Emir and the agreements signed in all fields of economy and investment have attracted great media, political and diplomatic attention and reaffirmed the political and economic weight enjoyed by the State of Qatar under the wise leadership of HH the Emir. 
The importance economic, political and diplomatic results and indicators for this successful tour revealed the correct political, economic and strategic choices adopted by the State of Qatar and have gained the admiration of the world. 
The State of Qatar, Al-Watan said, has always proved that it is a country of pioneering initiatives by its adherence to a wise political and economic approach based on the positive opening up to brotherly and friendly countries and the establishment of distinctive bridges for cooperation and partnership relations regionally and internationally.
