Sudanese authorities confiscated on Monday a number of newspapers before hitting newsstands.

No reason was given for the motion.

The confiscated papers are Al Sudani, Al Intibaha, Al Watan, Alwan, Al Jareeda, Akhirlahza and Al Youm Al Tali.

Around 14 newspapers have been confiscated over the past period without clarifying the reasons.
