Actress, TV personality Jayne Meadows dead at 95

Beloved actress and television personality Jayne Meadows has died at her home in Encino, Calif. She was 95.

Her son, Bill Allen, confirmed her Sunday death to The New York Times Monday.

Meadows was married to entertainer Steve Allen, her frequent collaborator, for 46 years until his death in 2000. Her sister was The Honeymooners actress Audrey Meadows, who died in 1996.

Jayne Meadows made her Broadway debut in 1941 in Spring Again. Her other appearances on the New York stage included Another Love Story, Many Happy Returns, Kiss Them for Me, The Gazebo and Once in a Lifetime.
