The Information Affairs Authority will open four sport channels to broadcast the London Olympic Games2012. IAA President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa today received broadcasting officials, who outlined the plan drawn up by the Bahrain Sport Channel to broadcast the games. The First Bahrain Sport Channel will broadcast different events as well as the finals in different collective and individual sports as scheduled. The Second Bahrain Sport Channel- named “As You Like” - will be at the disposal of viewers to vote on the ministry’s website http://www.Iaa.bh , on phone number 17871400 or via Channel SMS to choose the most competitive games and broadcast them. Channel 55 has been transformed into the Third Sport Channel, which will broadcast collective games. The IAA has also decided to transform Bahrain Channel International into the Fourth Sport Channel which will broadcast basket ball matches– live or replay. IAA Chief Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa also gave the green light to open special Olympic Games 2012 studios. The first Bahrain Sport Channel will thus broadcast a daily live programme “Olympics Sawalef” at 12.30 pm starting Friday (July27) to analyse games, discuss results and present sport highlights of the day. Programme presenter Fawaz Al-Abdulla will be hosting specialized guests to this.Bahrain Fourth Sport Channel “On Fire Olympics” programme presenter Osama Al-Kooheji will host local coaches and specialists to discuss basket ball results on a daily basis.
